And I thought this day would never come. I finally finish the last interview for the MBA admission process. Started with SP Jain and ended with MDI, though I wish I get into NITIE. I loved the campus, the seniors, the atmosphere and what more? It's in Mumbai, the place to be!

But then there's a part of me that wants me to get a job, something inside my head that tells me that a job is the best way to go. The idea of getting paid doing what I love is very exciting; so exciting in fact that I've had thoughts of bunking a few interviews. I'm glad I didn't, because those interviews were a whole new experience of their own, each completely different from the other, but each one just as enriching as the other.

As of now, it's a huge relief to get the whole process over with. I can now read that book without thinking of that current affairs mag I haven't read. I can now watch a movie without worrying about wasting time. I can now take all day to finish my animation assignment. On the flipside, I can no longer give excuses for not finishing assignments. That reminds me, I have a very lengthy assignment to submit on Thursday which I lied about having started. So while I go start the assignment, I give this, for you to ROTFL -

The Japanese Are Crazy

But more than that, they are creative. Very very creative. While on the one hand, they come up with the craziest TV shows, on the other hand they come up with the most moving ads (and crazy ones too). This particular ad almost moved me to tears.

No, I'm not spending my days watching ads on YouTube. I'm just digging up and posting old favourited videos that still move me as much as they did the first time I watched them.

Speaking of creative ads, I also loved the recent Indigo Airlines "On time" ad by W+K. Very nicely done. Makes me stop whatever I'm doing to watch the ad.

That also reminds me. The recent Mobile Number Portability ads by Idea that use "No Idea, Get Idea" as a punchline -- very clever. I just wish they'd let Abhishek Bachchan say "That's what" instead of "Get Idea". The ads would've made a greater impact once people got why AB says "That's what". If you watch closely, you'll see "Get Idea" was dubbed later into the ads. Nevertheless, it was clever. Not great, but clever.

Luxor's Frixion

How much more creative can an advertisement for a pen get? This one is an ad for an erasable ballpen called Pilot Frixion Erasable Gel Pen (introduced in March 2009). Created by Spanish creative agency, Jurgen Berderow. Brilliantly done.

Bell Bajaao

It's October and it's Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It's a campaign video by Breakthrough to create awareness about domestic violence which needs to be stopped. I wonder why this video isn't on TV, or is it?

Amazing Kid #2: Vaishali Raikwad

Speaking of singing competitions, I also love this naughty little girl, Vaishali Raikwad, from Bhopal. She’s so full of energy! She‘s bold and fearless. I wish I were like that. Here’s one of my favourite performances by Vaishali. She’s singing the song “Cheel Cheel Chillake” from the movie “Half Ticket” on her elimination day (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - L’il Champs, Zee TV). Amazing Kid #1: Anwesha Dutta

I had to post this video because it‘s so amazing, it gives me goose bumps every time I watch it. No it‘s not scary! It’s a video of a participant, Anwesha Dutta, from West Bengal singing “Mere Dholna” from the movie “Bhool Bhulaiya” in the Voice of India competition on Star TV. Gosh, is she amazing or what!!
She makes me proud to be an Indian. Way to go, Anwesha.
